About MMTC of Florida
MMTC’s in Florida Chief Medical Officer Doctor Joseph Dorn has twelve years of working in hospice care for terminally ill patients, rounding out more than 30 years of practicing traditional medicine. In the past, many patients suffering from painful and debilitating conditions faced treatment by often-addicting or ineffective medication, with no option to first try a natural solution such as medical cannabis for pain management and treatment. His experience told him that it was time to be part of a change. When that option for medical marijuana became legalized, doctors formed the medical staff of MMTCFL and knew that they wanted to make a career out of connecting patients to medical cannabis treatments which could make real changes to their lives.
Medical Marijuana Treatment Clinics of Florida maintains a primary focus of supporting patients seeking effective cannabis-based alternative treatments. We accomplish our mission in a manner which complies with state laws, local ordinances, and medical board guidelines, as well as keeps service costs to a minimum. These core principals allow our patients continued access to Florida’s system of compassionate care. Our mission is to support and encourage the public’s safe access to medical marijuana through Florida’s Compassionate Care Act (Amendment 2).

Excellent service, incredible staff. I went to drop off my records the day before my scheduled appt and since they had time, they asked if Wanted to see the Dr. that day. Dr. Echevarria is excellent. Though I have had my medical card for a while, she taught me a lot I did not know. Very intelligent, and compassionate.
Amy, who was working the front desk, was very nice, polite, and knowledgeable. And incredibly polite and patient with one of the rudest patients I've ever seen in a doctor's office. I highly recommend MMTC, and especially the Lakeland office, to everyone, and have already done so to some of my card carrying and card seeking friend.
I have not been to the clinic yet, but the quick response to my inquiry was unbelieveable. When you are in chronic pain every moment matters.
From the consultants to the office staff, everyone was so helpful and accommodating. Dr. Dorn is knowledgeable, compassionate and his staff clearly explained the entire process. If you are thinking about medical Marijuana as a treatment, MMTC is the way to go.
The MMTC office in St. Petersburg was fantastic. I was very nervous with the doctors visit however Dr Ellis was very kind and made me feel very comfortable with the process. I'm so happy I went here.
I was very pleased with Dr Aleem Malik. I originally was with DocMJ via facetime, and I transfered my business the MMTC and do not regret it. There was a tremendous amount of paperwork, but Dr Malik was extremely informative and answered all my questions. I have not filled my prescription yet, but plan to change over to Knox Dispensary rather than previously using Trulieve, who has extremely expensive and limited supplies. Thank you MMTC.
